Lang4Kids is developed by Bryan's Bits (bryansbits.com). We take the privacy of children and families seriously. This policy explains what information Lang4Kids handles and how.

1. Who This Policy Covers

Lang4Kids is designed for children ages 6 and up and is intended to be used under parental supervision. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising use and for reviewing this policy on behalf of minor users.

2. Local Practice and Online Services

Lesson content and audio are bundled for offline-first lesson practice. Purchases and restores require internet; access checks may require a connection. Check lesson access online before travel.

Local learner information is described below. Purchase processing is separate and is described in section 5. If you email support, you choose what information to include in your message; please do not send sensitive information about a child.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

Lang4Kids stores the following information locally on your device using AsyncStorage:

• Learner profiles: A display name you choose and an emoji avatar. No real name is required.
• Lesson progress: Which lessons have been played, game scores, and lesson entries practiced.
• Activity log: A record of game sessions for progress tracking within the app.
• App preferences: Settings such as the active learner profile.

The on-device report card summarizes practice activity, not remote monitoring or a mastery assessment. Practice totals can include repeat entries and are not a count of unique words learned.

Optional parent sharing

After a parental check, a parent can choose to share a plain-text weekly summary through the device's share sheet. The summary includes aggregate practice sessions, minutes, active days, lessons, and entries practiced. It excludes profile names, IDs, lesson details, links, and tracking. If you share it, the summary leaves the device through the service you choose, whose privacy practices apply.

4. Device APIs Used

Per Apple's Privacy Manifest requirements, Lang4Kids accesses the following device APIs:

• User Defaults (NSUserDefaults): Used to store app preferences on-device (reason code CA92.1).
• File Timestamps: Used to display content information within the app (reason code C617.1).

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

Lang4Kids is a free download with optional Lang4Kids Pro purchases for full lesson access. Monthly and yearly subscriptions and a lifetime purchase are offered at the prices displayed in the App. Apple processes payments through the App Store; we do not handle payment card details directly.

We use RevenueCat to manage Pro access, including purchases and restores. Apple and RevenueCat process purchase and transaction information to verify access. The App Store privacy disclosure lists purchase data for analytics and app functionality; this is distinct from the learner practice activity stored on your device.

6. Advertising and Tracking

Lang4Kids contains no in-app advertising and does not engage in cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking. This does not mean that purchase data is never processed for analytics or app functionality, as explained in section 5.

7. Children's Privacy

Lang4Kids is designed for children with parental supervision. A learner profile can use a nickname rather than a real name. Purchases and optional sharing are intended for parents and are protected by a parental check. Please contact us with questions about a child's information or privacy.

8. Data Deletion

You can delete locally stored learner profiles and practice activity:

Delete a learner profile (and all associated progress)

1. Open Lang4Kids and go to the Profile Selection screen.
2. Find the profile you want to remove.
3. Tap the red ✕ button in the top-right corner of the profile card.
4. Confirm deletion when prompted.

This permanently removes the profile name, avatar, all lesson progress, and the activity log for that profile from your device.

Delete local app data

Delete Lang4Kids from your device through the normal iOS app deletion process to remove its local app data. Deleting a profile or the app does not cancel a subscription, delete purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat, or remove summaries you have shared elsewhere. 9. Third-Party Links

Lang4Kids may display links to the App Store or other external resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
